General Description

SiTI has developed two types of DC/DC converters: capacitor charge pump and inductor-based boost converter. The feature of high efficiency will extend battery life, and therefore our DC/DC converters are an economic and efficient solution for battery-powered applications. Moreover, the constant current driving technology means they can provide a stable step-up source to power white LEDs.

DC/DC drivers regulate output current in low bit-to-bit skew, so they are ideal for driving LEDs whose light intensity is proportional to the current passing through them. Due to the small size package, DC/DC series occupy only little area, which make them suitable for handheld devices

Applications

Compared to charge pump ICs, PC112/113 (boost) require much less input power and maximize battery life. Both of them are ideal to drive white LED display backlighting for portable devices including digital cameras, mobile phones and PDAs.

DD231/3 (3 and 4-channel constant current driver) can be applied to exterior and interior automotive lighting, decorative lighting, and architectural lighting. DD211/2 (2X charge pump driver) can be used in portable light sources such as flashlights, headlights and flash lures.
